The importance of latent learning

Newcomers and Youngster Days

These sessions are tailored for students who would like to start natural horsemanship and are ideal for encouraging manners in your youngster.  Firstly we focus on our own safety.  To put simply it we teach the horse about the importance of our space by showing them how to lead responsibly and softly.  The aim of the first session is to build a connection between handler and horse so that the rest of the training becomes a joy for both.

As the sessions progress we will work through a set of basic ground exercises, always working towards the lightest of cues and the best biomechanical movement from the horse.  It is essential to build latent learning time into these sessions for both horse and handler, to build confidence and clarity.
