FEEL - FROM THE HORSE’S PERSPECTIVE An interactive workshop focussing on how we offer aids, cues and/or demands and how they can motivate or hinder our horse. No horses needed just an open mind and a willingness to join in!! Role Theory and its affect on training horses and people Martha will work with her horses and demonstrate how understanding basic role theory can help us to become more effective trainers. When we can recognise healthy and dysfunctional roles that both our horse and we can get drawn into playing, we can reflect how we can change our role which will in turn allow the horse to change their response to the intention behind our actions. Creativity! Collaboration! Community! British Annual Psychodrama Conference 2017Workshop:facilitated by Martha Lindsell and Lavinia Lubbock Herd Power - Discover how horses can help us discover and develop the role of Boundary Setter: an essential basis for building healthy long term relationships www.bpa2017.org for details Demystifying lateral work: Practice our body dynamics for shoulder-in, renvers, travers, half-pass and leg-yield. Breathing, Listening, Asking and Responding: to myself first, then the horse. Becoming more aware of your own physical body state helps you understand where you feel emotion and tightness. Using th3 information received through body scanning and slow mindful movements we can then start to release what we can of our own state or at least hold a heightened awareness of this. This then allows us to be more aware of feeling for our horses emotional and physical state and distinguishing between our own and our horse’s mental, emotional and physical sticky points this is an essential process for improving and refining communication and training for any discipline. |
